I started surfing for the first time with Gwithian Academy about a year ago and I love it!
They are a brilliant surf school, with friendly, experienced and knowledgeable instructors. They have really helped me improve my surfing in a safe environment and I look forward to going each week for fun and laughs with a great group of people.
My children 7 and 10 have just started the Saturday morning session and also had the best time. Billy was very patient and helped my daughter (who was a little more nervous) to catch waves and she left buzzing and very proud of herself..

Absolutely brilliant experience with these guys. We had beginner lessons with Olly, Billy and Brooke which were all incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging, and the manager at the time was also excellent. We will be back 100% next time we are down in Cornwall – Thanks guys!

First time surfing in the UK and I’m really happy I came across Gwithian Academy. Spent 2 days surfing and having lessons with Billy, who is really patient, makes you feel confident, and will be as stoked as you are whenever you catch a wave! Ian also gave me a mini crash course on wave science which was super interesting and inspired me to keep learning about it. The rest of the team is really lovely and friendly! Can’t wait to be back!.
